Coffee fields The Farm

Fundación Finca Alta Gracia

The Fundación Finca Alta Gracia is dedicated to spreading grace through sustainability by developing and preserving the natural and the human environment. We are a small coffee farm and literacy center, nestled in the central mountains of the Dominican Republic.

At Finca Alta Gracia, our partners IDIAF, Plan Sierra, and Codocafé gather information on sustainable methods of agriculture and organic coffee production to share with other farmers throughout the country.

Our resident volunteer teacher is sponsored by the DREAM Project, the World Education Corps, as well as Middlebury College's Alliance for Civic Engagement.

"Our study abroad experience in the Dominican Republic was life-changing and our time at Alta Gracia was the key to that; it opened our minds, it opened our hearts, and it made a whole new way of seeing the world possible."
-- Linda Frost, Associate Director of the University Honors Program and Associate Professor of English, University of Alabama at Birmingham
